Q: What kind of photos should I submit?

You will need to submit photos that are not blurry and clear in nature to achieve best results. Please look at the sample before and after images throughout the site as an additional guide. For more information see the Pose Details or Photo Requirements pages.

In general a 3 mega pixel or higher camera image will usually produce an image suitable for our products. Certain image styles, such as those where the subject is converted to a black and white image (see this sample), have lower source image requirements.

Q: What payment methods are available?

We have implented a shopping cart which uses PayPal for payments. You do not need a PayPal account to complete your order. Simply supply your credit/debit card number on PayPal's secure payment site.

The above method is prefered. However, we will accept a money order or personal check in the mail (see our Contact Us page for the mailing address). We will start working on your project and supply the proof within 2-5 business days, but we will only ship the final product (or email the download link) to you when we have recieved your money order or your personal check has cleared.

Q: Where do I e-mail my photos that will be used for my order?

The newer 10+ megapixel digital cameras can produce image files which are too large to transfer easily over email. We request that you upload your images to our file transfer service. The link for the upload is located on you confirmation email, or use the following link: CPE Image Upload Service

For smaller image files you can email (link) them to us, ensuring your email program does not reduce the image size.

Q: If I don't have Broadband (Cable, DSL, etc) how do I send my image?

The image upload service, above, is designed for reliable file transfers for large files. A typical (5MB image file) would take around 12-15 minutes to upload via an 56kbps modem (approx. 1 min with broadband).

Other options include:

  • We provide an email link with your order receipt, and you can use this link on any computer to transfer the image.

  • You may also send a CD with the full size. Please notify us as we only check our P.O. Box periodically.

  • If you have online photo storage you may send a link to the Full Sized image, not a compressed web sized image.

  • You may also send an actual photo for us to scan (see our Contact Us page for the address), however a scanned photo does not provide optimum image quality. We will return the photo with your order. We are not responsible for lost photos. Please notify us if you send a photo as we only check the P.O. Box periodically.

Q: Can you digitally add a costume to the subject?

No. You will have to provide the costume (ex- Fairy, Princess, Astronaut, etc,).

Q: How long will it take until I receive my order?

Photo Montage orders take typically 2-5 business days to complete. If the order will take longer, we will notify you via e-mail. Quite often we will be able to process your order more quickly depending on the quantity of orders in the system.

Once we have finished work on the image, we will generate a lower resolution watermarked image which will be emailed to you to for final approvel.

On receipt of your approval, via email, the download link to the finished files will be emailed to you.

Image Enhancememt orders take typically 1-3 business days to complete. Upon completion a link to the finshed file will be emailed to you.

Q: Is a rush order option available?

Please allow time for us to process your order in 1-5 business days. Orders are processed in the order that they are received.

We will always do our best to process as quickly as possible. However, with the available resources a "rush order" option is not possible at this time.

Q: Do you take special orders for designs not found on this site?

Not at this time, although please check back- we hope to offer this service at a later date.

Please let us know, however, what you would like to see added to our site, and we may decide to offer it as a product in the future! New ideas are always welcome.

Q: Will you post my final image on this site or a 3rd party site?

Absolutely not! From time to time, we may ask permission to post your before and after, but otherwise your image will remain just that - YOUR image.

Q: Can you add text to the final image?

Our images are designed primarily for display as artistic works. However, we will provide an additional file for you, with added text, upon request. PLEASE indicate what font type you would like us to use from the list on the Fonts Page (link).

Note that you may also add text yourself after receiving your file, provided that you have basic photo editing software.

Q: What if I'm not happy with the final product?

We will send a link for you to preview your image upon completion, and we will work with you to incorporate any possible changes required and send an updated preview image. If, for any reason, you not 100% satisfied we will refund the full purchase amount, and cancel the order.

Q: Is any of the artwork for sale individually?

No. The artwork (backgrounds, individual elements such as fairy wings, etc.) used for our photo montages are licensed to us for use in derivative works only, and under no circumstances can Creative Photo Effects re-sell any of the artwork individually.

Any extraction of background artwork, with the intent to use for additional photo projects (personal or commercial), would be a violation of copyright, and is strictly prohibited.

Q: Where can I e-mail a question that's not on the list?
